Parent & Child Chess

8 Week Class

Tuesdays  6:00pm - 7:00pm

Led By Jim Freerksen

The ability to play chess is a great gift a parent can give their child. Chess strengthens many transferable skills such as analytical thinking, pattern recognition, focus, and creativity. It is also a unique and fantastic tool to help bond and communicate with your child as they grow. In the Parent & Child Chess club, you and your child will learn the basics of how to play chess together. You do not need to have prior chess experience, the course will cover piece movement and the basic principles of how to play chess.  Along with basic piece movement the course provides a brief introduction to beginner tactics and checkmates. This class is perfect for the parent who is looking to broaden their child's horizon while creating another positive way to spend time with them.

The class is limited to 5 Parent/Child pairs.

Cost: $200 per Parent/Child pair
